Fried Prawns



Fried Prawns


INGREDIENTS

1.       12 shelled prawns

2.       2 tbsp wine/rum

3.       2 tbsp soya sauce

4.       1 tsp sugar

5.       2 tsp garlic paste

6.       1 tsp ginger paste

7.       2 beaten eggs

8.       2 tbsp corn flour

9.       25 gm flour

10.    Oil for deep frying 

Sauce



11.    1 tbsp oil

12.    1/2 tsp chopped garlic

13.    1/2 tsp chopped red chillies

14.    2 tbsp chopped spring onion

15.    2 tsp corn flour

16.    1 tbsp sugar

17.    150 ml water

18.    3 tbsp tomato ketchup

19.    1 tsp soya sauce

20.    1 tbsp worcestershire sauce



  METHOD:

·        Mix prawns with soya, wine, sugar, garlic, ginger and eggs. Marinate for 30 minutes.

·        Sprinkle in corn flour and flour. Stir to coat.

·        Deep fry in hot oil until crisp and coloured.

·        Serve with sauce.

·        For the sauce, heat oil.

·        Stir fry chilli, garlic and spring onions for 30 seconds.

·        Combine remaining ingredients except sesame oil.

·        Pour into the pan.

·        Stir to thicken, before adding sesame oil.

·        Serve with prawns.
